This is my favorite time of year. A time to reflect and be in gratitude.
This is the time for family and friends and a good time to slow down and go inward. I am consistently reminded to practice being in a state of gratitude from moment to moment. It is so powerful in bringing you to this moment.
I sit here reflecting on my life and what I am grateful for, the one thing that I know for sure is that I am grateful that I believe in myself, especially during this time of uncertainty and what exactly the future holds?
I am grateful that I believe in myself.
And I am especially grateful to notice a pattern that most successful people anywhere in life, have this uncanny ability to believe in themselves.
Those who believe in themselves succeed and those who don't have a tendency to struggle.
To believe in oneself, doesn't mean just believe you can do this one activity or be good in this
one particular situation.
What I am talking about is an overarching belief - "I can do this. I trust myself to achieve anything I put my mind to."
To believe in yourself is one of the greatest gifts to give the world.
It takes practice to build this trust in oneself. Confidence means; to confide in oneself.
Say, "I believe in myself."
So let me share some of my practices and mindsets that have been incredibly helpful to me on my journey towards believing in myself:
- Put good thoughts in my head - my thoughts create my
reality, so I do my best to expose myself to good thoughts
that serve me and humanity (hint: I have given up being
connected to the news cycle); what I put in is what I get
out - Give myself permission to go for what I want - what I
want is sacred; by going for what I want no matter how
impossible or scary it may seem, I am honoring myself and
what the Universe has in store for me - Appreciate small wins - I know everything is cumulative;
there are no overnight successes; so by appreciating small
wins consistently, I get to create constant movement forward
towards that which I want. - Pay attention- I am getting feedback from the universe, I now choose for my highest good.
So I want to encourage you to consciously embrace the journey towards believing in yourself. It will change your life.
What are you grateful for?
Happy Thanksgiving!
Namaste,
Katherine Lia
