I recently changed my profile online because I was inspired by Alison Armstrong's suggestion in leading with the truth. She is the author of many books and programs, In Sync With The Opposite Sex,which I highly recommend and where I got inspired to put myself out there.
It takes courage, vulnerability and risk and allows you to sort through your choices of who you will date, very quickly. You sort by trust.
The ones that will leave are the ones that are not the right fit. When they share there deal breakers etc it makes it obvious to both of you on whether you are a match or not. This way there is no wasting time.
For a woman if it does not end in a committed relationship, it is viewed by us as a waste of time. Often we have put in our hearts, our emotions and our soul. This is precious and need not be compromised ever again. Men can go on forever dating as long as it feels good and his needs are met.
I love my old profile which leads with my truth, so I splashed that in as well, since it is me expressing as me. This process of Alison's ( which I numbered) is definitely the next bold step and new approach to dating, when you are ready to move forward and attract a man or a woman that qualifies without compromise right up front.
